"Bold. Colorful. Edgy. These are just a few words to describe my lifelong passion. I've always loved cartoons and comic books, which shows through my work. I do my best to avoid being confined by boundaries in my abilities, and strive to turn any idea a possibility. " - Marie Kisling
"My father was an extremely talented man, most highly regarded for his god-like ability with an automobile. Anything with a motor and at least two wheels, really. As an only child he was my comrade, and I was next to him every chance I could get under the hood of various projects. At a very young age, I realized that everything could be "just a little bit closer to the edge." He encouraged me to push the norm. Everything could speed faster, roar louder, and be cooler than the next. My father's key phrase: "Don't tell mother." I've always been captivated by American, hot rod automotive culture, especially pinstriping. When I was a young girl, I was always on his shoulders at every car show we could attend. When I was about nine, he handed me my first Mack brush and sent me off to re-do our old '76 dump truck, "By the last panel you'll get the hang of it," he said.
It took a bit longer than that...
I do this for my dad now, more than ever.
I know he's enjoying the hell out of it.
Love you Dad."
